Intel penryn 3.0 help

Ok a while back there was an article saying nov 11 intel will launch there intel penryn 3.0 quad processor is this chip for servers or regular desktop use?cause i am seeing a few sites saying they are xeon chips,i thought this chip was for regular desktop use.
