Intermittent Picture

i have a sparkle nvidia 6600gt g/card plugged in to a asus A7n8x deluxe mobo. now when i turn my pc on i dont always get picture. i have tried the card in a different pc and its seems ok so im guessings its the mobo but i wonder why sometimes it works and i get picture and sometimes i dont get any picture. if i restart my pc say 10 times i might get picture 1 out of those 10 times.

any ideas???

If you were using on-board video before this card did you dis-able it in bios?

there is no onboard g/card. i think the problem was down to power. the 6600gt needs a dedicated power connection with no other device connected to the same line. i have had it running for a couple of days now and its running ok.
