Hello friends,

I am using Windows 2003 Server and it has Internet Explorer 6 installed. 3 Weeks back my system was infected by some trojan vundo and also some downloader viruses. Though the viruses were cleaned but my Internet Explorer Privacy sets to low (Accept All Cookies) automatically on every next boot. I have to maually set it to high on every next day system start and on next reboot it goes down again. Do any 1 know the registry enteries of Internet Explorer tab where I can delete any automatic enteries made so that my internet explorer start functioning as it was on its previouse state?
Best Regards,
Asad

Hi,

Check the Privacy/Advanced tab and set cookie control that way,

or toggle the default button. That might clear it.

The Privacy tab in the registry in XP is here (Windows Server ?) -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\<ZoneNumber>

Look in the zones for 1A10 The DWORD values are:

Block All Cookies: 00000003
High: 00000001
Medium High: 00000001
Medium: 00000001
Low: 00000001
Accept all Cookies: 00000000

You have to check the 'override automatic Cookie handling' to do the reset and keep it. This wold be found using the Advanced button on the Privacy screen. Then you can set the type of Cookies you want to accept> Apply> OK.
