Hope someone can help me out here. I am using WinXP Pro SP2 with IE 7.0 and within the past 4 weeks or so, the internet shorcuts I have placed on my desktop have ceased to work. They worked just fine until then. I can open IE and use the links in my favorites list with no problem. I can right click on the desktop icon, go to properties and copy the web address and past it in the address box in IE and it works fine. If I go to the desired website and send another link to the desktop it will not work either. Don't know for sure what happened. Have checked the MS website for answers but cannot seem to find the answer to correct the problem. I suspect that one of the security updates from MS changed some setting somewhere and I can't find it. I know there is an answer and it will be very SIMPLE!!! Hope to hear from someone soon. Problem is not life threatening but is frustrating.
