Is my Satellite M45-S355 lcd going bad?

This started about a month ago. There seems to be two different things going on with my laptop's screen after warm up. These don't happen at the same time.

1. Horizontal lines rapidly move up and down the screen and the taskbar doesn't move. Sometimes to nearly a full white out condition.

2. The taskbar will rapidly move up and down distorting the image.

It usually only happens if I leave it running and close it for a while. I figure that makes the lcd hotter. I have been leaving it open lately and it is fine for hours. I have noticed that if I twist the lcd, everything will clear up momentarily.

LCD or something else?

Likely the inverter going bad. Get on line and track one down through Toshiba, because it takes about three weeks to get one. Toshiba parts are now impossible to get. You will have to solder it in, or hire somebody to do it.
Depending on where you get it, it could be as low as $35 or as high as $80, plus shipping and tax.
