Its a little odd...but i need help with my monitor

So my mom has this transciption job and she was working and suddenly she calls me in and her screen completely did this switch. she had to have hit something but everything on her screen went sideways. to look at her screen, she had to turn her head to the left to read it. ANyone have any idea how to get it back?
i dont know if this has anythign to do with it, but she has a new flat screen that can be turned to the right(in portait instead of landscape view) to make it readable.

There should be a little icon down in the system tray (by the clock). One of the monitors at my school is like that; you can adjust it using the little system tray icon.

Well we don't know what computer, or video card your mom is using... Tell her to go into the display properties and see if there is a setting for landscape or portrait switching from that area
