Jedi Outcast trouble shooting HELP!!! Please!

For some reason My Jedi Outcast doesn't work and I'm reallly disappointed. When I x cancel the program after hitting ctrl alt del I see the consol for a second saying, Error recurring ... expecting version 7 not 6. or something like that. It's very weird. I'll start playing multiplayer and it gets to the White screen before lucas arts and it freezes. I checked compatibility and I adjusted that correctly, does anybody have any ideas? I [B]really[/B] need help lol.
