I need assistance in removing the JS/download.agent virus. Not even sure how I got it will all the stuff I run protection wise. I read some of the preliminary malware removal instructions, and am already currently running AVG free virus scan, SB S&D, and Ad-Aware SE. I can't seem to remove it though, and the instructions said to show you the results of scans i believe? I just need help because it is interfering with my college work not being able to get on school websites. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!

Start your computer in safe mode and then run your updated program scans. This way none of the viruses will be running when you are doing the scans.
Instead of replying back it didn't work, please do the following fully:
Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions
This also states to run the scans in Safe mode, but gives a whole lot more detail.

That's good, I know how to run in safe-mode. This should take care of the problem though right?
Yes fully running Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions will fix it.
