Just a psu and cd rom

Will the CD rom Power up i connect it to a PSU and nothing else.....

i mean lets suppose i have two Devices a PSU and a CD-ROM... can i power the CD-ROM up using the psu .... if the psu switch switch is turned on ....

I suppose it could depend on your exact CD-ROM model but in theory it should work fine. People have rigged computer CD-ROM drives to their cars to be used as CD players.
