I want to buy Radeon 9600XT to replace my onboard video. But, I don´t know what 9600XT to get and from what store. Here the possible ones:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102338
(This is my first option, and the most possible one)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102600
(Second option)

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=320723
(same as the first, but in ZipZoomFly)

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=320890
(Last option)

Which is the best one?
I think seriously in the first option in Newegg, but they like to deactivate their products very often. I´m planning to get it in February. If Newegg fails, is ZipZoomFly a good site?
The second option looks good, with 256MB and retail package, and the Powercolor one looks good too.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

To be honest, that card is very old. Try newer ati cards, or even an nvidia solution.
well if your gonig for a new viedo card i would get atlest a 9800pro for about 120 on newegg, even tho its 3 years old its a great card
8pips
256 bit interface

Yeah that'd be best if u've got the dough to spare. A 9800XT would handle most new games and can be available under $150.

This is real good, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130220, I noticed it's out of stock there. It is at http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?scriteria=AA32320.
All those store are good ones as far as I now. I use newegg alot.

Found this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814135186R, the evga has much faster memory. I've had good luck with refurbished products. You want the new drvers from nvidia.com anyway.

All you have linked to are good, just older. The eVGA 6600gt has VDDR3 memory, the 9600xt has DDR. It also has eight pixel pipelines and pixel shader 3.0. The 6600gt will be a good card for years.

Sure is getting harder to find AGP cards.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I don´t think that a 6600GT will run with my PSU:

I know that is small, but is very good. I will not change it. Anyway, I am not a huge gamer, so a 9600XT should be PERFECT for me. I play more with my PS2 and Gamecube. But, sometimes I want to use the PC for some light gaming. The most heavy game that I play is Soldier of Fortune 2, and even with a very old Radeon 7200 32MB PCI, it ran well.
Right now i can´t play it because I am using integrated video, and as you know, they are crap.
So please, out of the cards I have listed above, which would you choose? And from which store?
Is ZipZoomFly a good store?
Thanks

Please keep in mind that I am 15 years old, so I don´t work and don´t have very much money.

Thanks, what about the Red sapphire card, is it better than the first one?
What are the main diffs between them?
which is the worst?
Thanks

The main difference is the "red" Sapphire card has 256mb onboard memory but both are 128 bit. You probably wouldn't notice any performance difference between them. The red Sapphire is a retail box and the black Sapphire is an OEM. For the small difference in price (notice the shipping is more for the slightly less expensive black Sapphire), I'd go with the red Sapphire since it comes with a couple of adapters and some cables. The black OEM comes with nothing.

I've bought major parts from both Newegg and ZipZoomFly. It's good to have alternatives. If all else is equal, I would recommend Newegg because their shipping is generally much faster. However, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from ZZF again if the price is right.

BTW, you don't state your location but in case it matters keep in mind Newegg and ZipZoomFly only ship to U.S. addresses, not internationally.

im sure u can save up another 10$ by february.. go bum on the street for a day n u got 10$ hhehee jk..

anywho id go for the GeForce 6600 for $99 its better than the 9600 Series for the price:performance ratio :grinthumb

I live in Mexico, but my aunt can recieve the package in her house, so that´s not a problem.
So, now I´m thinking on getting the red sapphire card, I hope it has samsung or hynix memory chips running at real 300MHZ (600 DDR).
I like its retail package, so i´ll probably buy it. I just hope it is going to be available in February. I can´t wait to toss away the crappy SIS mirage!
Also keep in mind that i don´t have a PCI-Express mobo, and I don´t plan to change it a few years. There are very good agp cards right now, so I´m not interested in PCI-E.
If sapphire cards are out of stock in February, I´ll go with the Powercolor one in ZipZoomFly. It should be equal to the sapphire ones.
Thanks.

I have two 9600s(AllInWonder and a SE), one has memory samsung, the other hynix. 200 stock, but I bumped them to 250 with out a glich.

I saw in Newegg this card again, is like the first card I listed, but it is retail package, so please, once again, out this 2, which is the best: (remember, no 6600GT´s or 9800PRO´s)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102510

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102450

I know that 128MB difference is nothing, and the black card is cheaper. Also, regarding the red card, in Newegg´s site, is has some bad reviews, so I trust more the black card, and in sapphire´s site, the red card is not even listed, so another point for the black card.
What do you think about this??

That card you listed would be perfect for me, but just a question:
Is Jetway a bad generic brand?
What about memory and gpu clocks?
Is the Jetway card equal to the black sapphire one?
The price rocks, and Newegg too. So I hope Jetway its a good brand.

Don't think its bad at all. Only thing is, this thing won't O/C very well. O/C it a little and it'll start to get angry like hell. The black Sapphire is 128MB and this one's 256MB so its definitely better. Regarding clocks, they both have the same clocks as far as I can tell. And I told u about my own personal experience with JetWay, so they're pretty good. I would rather u take this card than the black or the red one but ur choice man. Make the right one :grinthumb
