Laptop Help Needid

I have a gateway m675. Had it on for about 24hrs straight on my desk when i came home the laptop power supply is on but i dont hear a drive or anything going. The fans kick on once in a while other then that the laptop does nothing. Is their anything anyone can suggest? Thanks....

Pull the laptops battery out and see if it once again powers on using the AC supply. If it does, replace the battery

How about when running on battery only? Same thing? Then time for servicing the laptop...

Maybe the screen isn't reserving a video signal, thus no display?

When you moved it it one of the cables could have gotten unplug or it got dropped and the screen is malfunctioning.
