LAPTOP LCD Screen ISSUES

Hey guys, I just found a laptop at home, my parents wanted to throw that thing away. Its a pretty old Gateway Solo. Well, I will keep it but its Screen has black spots on in it. If u put a cursor on them it kinda goes under and u cant see it. I think its something with a screen top layer. If somebody knows waht 2 do... then... I 'd appreciate ur help. THNX

ahh, the display has run out on its life expectancy. i'd expect as much of a gateway. if it's got a decent PIII in there, it might be worth something. but if you've got a celeron and like 128 MB of ram i'd toss it.

depending on the extent of the damage to the screen, i'd say that you can get at least 50 bucks for it

but then again that's coing from a guy who doesn't think too highly of gateway...
