Laptop Network Connection

I attached a new computer to an existing wireless network but I cannot get any internet access. I can only access the computer with the router attached. I have turn off the ICF and other walls. I tried IE and in the status bar is was trying to contact the loopback address not the gateway address. Does anyone know what is happening

Have you checked your internet connection is shared?

Do any other computers work wirelessly? If not the routers wireless switch, in the settings might be off.
