Laptop pc mouse pad not not responsive

I have a dell inspiron 600m that's about two years old. Its been working quite well until y mouse pad started to develop what seems like "dead spots". It doesnt respond all the time and when it does respond its quite slow. Do i need to send it back?

this happens frequently with lappys. send it back and have your credit card ready...

but you could always use an external optical mouse.

Try re-installing the touchpad drivers from your Dell discs and or grab them from their website...

If reinstalling the drivers doesnt work I guess illl return it. : )
