largest executable program size help

anyone know how i can i increase this while in drdos 7.03? trying to install win 98 and it says it needs 442xxx to run setup and i have around 407000..dont know if theres any way i can 'close' anything in dos to free it up.

You can remove some of the stuff loaded in config.sys and autoexec.bat. Better start with the latter.
