Looking To Build New Computer But Confused :(

Looking to build new computer (first computer building) and i dont know what to do as far as compatibuilty and some advanced building.


SPECS wanted

P4 2.8 to 3.2 w/ HT TECHNOLGY
DONT KNOW TYPE OF MOTHERBORD WILL BE COMPATABLE WITH MY HARDWARE
80 to 160 GB HDD 7200 rpm
nivida GFOURCE FX 128mb or ATI RADION 128mb (dont know the cost\benefit of each)
512-1020 RAM

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS IM A NOOBIE in computer building.

i got a 17 inch monider alredy and i just wanted to know if i could put a pentium in that mother bord like a 2.6 or 2.8 GHz with ht or wtihout whatever is cheaper
