Minimum system requirements for the audio card

Thanks for your reply.
So my mother board is a PCI 2.2. The audio card I wish to purchase has minimum system requirement of PCI 2.1.
Does it mean at the very least, the mother board PCI slot needs to be PCI 2.1 or greater for the audio card to work? It may seem like a dumb question but I need to get this correct since I have to order stuff from the states. Japan is very expensive.
Thus my mother board will be OK?
