Losing audio after seeking through video

If I play a video through any of my players (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Real Player) and then seek (fast forward or rewind) I lose audio and have to go back to the beginning to get it again. Am I missing a codec? Anyone know a fix?

Easy way to test for codec issues: try playing the file with VLC Media Player. VLC does not use the Windows codecs.

Use the GSpot codec program to find out what codecs are needed for this specific file and then go download/install the latest versions.
