lost administrator passwords

Loast the admin password for Win XP ...and i completely screwed up. i can't find the paper, i've got soo much work to do and deadlines fast approaching any one out there please? if i re-install XP, entirely...will that wipe out the ADMINISTRATOR'Spasswords?can i reset everything to NO passwords? i tried a safe mode with networking and removed his old profile, but upon rebooting-he was still there. i was successful is assigning almost all of the full permissions to the GUEST profile, but i can't install the wireless adapter. not allowed to. i did try installing a good version of 2000, but the setup was automatically disabled by XP!!i need an answer please!! i really can't afford the repair shop, that's way too expensive.
