lost ie's address bar

  1. hi , i wonder can anyone help me please , i was in the registry deleting a bit of spyware and now i've lost the iinternet explorer address bar , it is ticked in toolbars but won't come up , thanks for reading this

    What Pc, Os, cpu, etc.?

    Have you tried last known good configuration?

    Restart your computer
    Press F8 (or whatever you press to get into "windows advanced options menu"
    Click on Last Known Good Configuration

    thanks for the reply , i just tried what said and no luck , also tried a system restore and updating ie from microsoft still no address bar

    use mozilla firefox :)

    are you sure this happened after you edited the registry?
    it could be more spyware.
    In that case ad-aware or spybot might work.
    Use them rather than manually editing the registry in future
    and of course:

    had a friend with same problem, but no registry edit, try moving the toolbars around, its there, just hidden, was a long time ago, so i forget exactly how i did it, not sure if they are locked or what, but drag the bottom toolbar down, and move the lines, u should find it.
