major soun card problem

I have i big problem with my sound card i cannot hear any sound...the speakers are working....I have a gigabyte GA-7N400S motherbord, AMD Athlon 2400+, 768DDR, Radeon 9200, HDD:WD160GB....I only use the integrated sound card and i tried several drivers but in doesn`t work

please help?????

Try to download the drivers for your sound card from HERE . It's the fourth in the list.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Go HERE and download the correct drivers, including the chipset drivers.

Hmm.. pointing out the obvious here but.... double check your volumes are up in taskbar and spekers...

As well as checking the advice from fimbles, make sure your onboard sound is enabled in bios.

If everything checks out ok and you still can`t get the sound to work, maybe your onboard sound chip is dead.

If that turns out to be the case, it`s either time to get a separate soundcard, or rma the board.

I agree with Howard.
If the onboard sound is dead, it's very cheap to get a PCI sound card these days.
