memory clock half of expected!!! HELP!

I bought a radeon x1900 GT card which was suppose to run at Core clock 575MHz and Memory Clock 1200MHz but it is giving memory clock speed of 600 mhz !! Is there a problem in installation? I tried overclocking but system crashed at 710 Mhz.

Any suggestion , what to do?

You don't have a problem, it's DDR memory. Even though it reads at 600MHz the effective clock is 1200MHz.

DDR=Double Data Date
Ex: 600mhzx2=1200mhz
You don't have a problem the actual clock is 600mhz but the effective clock (the one thats advertised) is 1200mhz
