I am trying to get my Microphone working on my computer, however it is proving difficult. I am running an Asus P5ND2-SLi Deluxe with the most recent Realtek AC 97 drivers at the moment.
Now my problem is that any form of recording device on my computer will only record desktop noises, ie) if I have winamp playing in the background it records that perfectly, but any noise in the mic short of blowing hard right into it will not pick up. This is also the case in the test hardware option for sound devices.
the Realtek audio centre is showing the mic. as plugged in corectly.
I would appreciate any help anyone can give me on this one.
