Microphone problem

My microphone just stopped working like 2 days ago. i realized it when i was playing counter strike source. i can hear the statick of the mic but when i blow or tak in too it nothing happens. i already checked the control panel sound settings and evrything looks fine. please help me on this problem.

im pretty sure my drivers are up to date beecuase i got this sound card like 4 months ago, ill try to use the mic on a diff computer i already tested sound with ipod worked fine.

sounds like your mic could be busted..

try the mic in another pc or audio device.. vice versa with a different mic..
recheck settings in your audio drivers and update drivers..
