Hi, I hope I posting in the right place, I’m having a problem with a Windows update. It downloads but fails to install an update called 'Microsoft windows update 3.1' I have tried this numerous times but with no luck. Can anyone help me, how do I uninstall this update so I can start from fresh?
I also have a failed install for Norton Internet Security, when I go to remove this using 'add and remove programmes' a pop up tells me to go to the Symantec website (www.symantec.com/install) for instructions on how to resolve the issue with the missing installation file - instopts.dat. Here it tells you u need to install the Microsoft Windows update 3.1, which I can’t do. Any help will be greatly appreciated :giddy:
