I CAN back them up, I just don't care. Not my job.
Can you stand up for the claims that were made by AMD? I wouldn't. They are lying sacks of sh . They all are, they are companies, they lie, they sell, they cheat.
When you spout unsubstantiated malice against people in "real life", you can get sued or even arrested... since you're online, at least you are safe from that... but I'd love to see some of the evidence you "can" use to backup your lies...

Still awaiting your evidence...

For what? Be specific.

Ah, Intel all over again. Now that AMD is #1 en masse "security firms" turn their head from Intel to AMD and miraculously find exploits that cannot be used, but do affect the products marketing and image so they demand a payout or they release this information to public.

They didn't receive the payout.

this was my initial post. It's a speculation on my part, caused by common sense and I did elaborate on it later.

You provided 0 evidence for your speculation (which you stated as a fact) and your “elaboration” simply stated that you “could” back it up yet didn’t care to... so once again... I invite you to back up your lies...

Speculation is not a lie, and it was based on previous events, that anyone could have read, it was quite prominent especially when intel "exploits" were in focus. I am not going to dig around for 4 hours to brining up all the links to news that you missed. I made a mistake by making you think that I will actualy do this, that was my mistake, and a lie if you will.

Still, you still haven't pointed out the "lie". If you are going to call me a liar, at least call me on out on the lie, not just "generally". You are old enough to do that at least?

edit: as for mu OP here, it seems some of you don't get sarcasm. And if it was a lie, why did this news come from entity that is not AMD? Nevermind who said what in the business, that is usually all a spin. Liker Iraq WMD and war. Or "we live no one behind" or "our PSU's don't explode in regular use" that kind of thing. Those are/were LIES.

OK... here is your original post.

Another poster (Irata) then replied with the truth - that it wasn't a security firm looking for a payout, but a very good researcher.

Well, evidence seems to be lacking for your outrageous claim - hence the call from me (and others) to "back it up".

While you've been happy to spout tons of stuff since, you still haven't posted any evidence that this was a security firm posting this exploit to vilify AMD or receive a large payout.

Yet again... I await this evidence...

Is there some software I can install on my PC to regularly check and inform me that some AMD firmware/software update is available (for my X570 5950X system) ?

Every few months I think that probably some chipset driver or something is out-of-date but I don't really know of easy AMD software to tell me. Do I have to keep going to support page and downloading newest "radeon-software" executable? I don't have an AMD GPU.
I do believe that CCleaner Premium does that.

I did not disagre with Irata. My proof that it was a security firm (or an individual) was that it's usually how it happens, which I described. If it's not that, it's not that. It's a speculation. You can get no proof on speculation, that's why it's called speculation.
All that I spewed since was to you, asking for proof. Yet, you are still to provide the "lie" I made. I quoted myself already, waiting on you to point to the alleged lie.
we can go back and forth again and again. I made a mistake last night by saying I can provide a proof, and already said that that was a lie. Since I cannot provide a proof for speculation that I made going by the fact the news (here) didn't come from AMD but from third party.

PS. Where was I malicious, and towards whom? You claimed that a few posts back
