From the KT400 vs nF2 AMDMB article:
It’s interesting to note that the KT333 chipset does not have this problem, as it does not use an 8x AGP bus. The KT333 motherboards that we tested with the Radeon 9700 Pro showed results that were very close to that of the nForce2 results shown here. That means for OpenGL programs, the KT333 chipset is faster than the KT400. But, that is not the case for the majority of the other benchmarks.

Wish I hadn't killed my AMD760 A7M266 Motherboard and bought a GA-7VAXP based on KT400 now. But I needed a functional computer, and thought I might as well get the latest Via chipset. Strange issue with OpenGL running slower on the KT400 though. They say its only in lower resolutions though so it shouldn't be too big a problem (640x480).
