I'm building my second computer. My question.. My motherboard uses DDR2 do I need a video card that also uses DDR2?

The system ram and the GPU ram do not need to be the same. I.e., you CAN use a GPU with DDR3 (for example) on a computer using DDR2 system memory without problem. The two are not related.
