Mozilla firefox...anybody tried it yet? blacked out urls on almost every web page...

has anyone tried the Mozilla Firefox? I downloaded it yesterday, and even though it is way cool in some areas, there are problems with the url's on certain webpages and attachments. I can't view any files that someone sends me or pictures. What is it? Did I do something wrong during the installation, or is it just the nature of the beast?

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

I`ve been using Firefox for a long time and have never really had any problems.

Can you give me an example of a url that you can`t connect to when using Firefox?

You may need to install Java and flash player/shockwave player via firefox.

Normally if a plugin is required to view the content of a web page, Firefox will alert you near the top of the browser window, to install the missing plugin.
