msn web cam problems

i hope somebody can help me??? this is driving me nutts!!!

i'm trying to run a web cam on msn.
the cam works on the pc fine and it also runs ok when you run the webcam wizard but it doesn't work when you run webcam setting!

does anybody know what this problem is? all i get is that the cam is being used by another programe when its not,.......i think?

are u sure u dnt have the software running on it behind, for example a little webcam icon down in ur task bar at the bottom?

yeah, I have nothing but msn going.

the only thing i can suggest is re installing the drivers and checking if msn is compatible with ur webcam...

I just tried that, and it doesn't work. I even reinstalled msn. The funny thing is that the cam icon appears on my msn even when it's not connected. I'm clueless. The cam works fine on my older comp though.

hmmm do u have the share cam with others ticked on the msn options?

My msn was set on videocapture instead of webcam on the configuration for audio and video. Thanks for the effort anyways man.
