I reinstalled WindowsXP after having my computer overrun by spyware, and then
formatting it.
So when I go to install some things again, I only have 5 gbs. Please help!!

reinstall OS
windows will say it has found a version
what do you want to do choice , to delete active director, say yes
next command will prompt to again where to install you should see 80 gb here, but it will not be active
when you choose to install.prompt to format of drive
do so with ntfs ,don't use quick format
on prompt of size ,here is where you should see fulls size
you can change this to a smaller drive size <i would suggest
10gb>
on boot you should see 2 partitions
hope I remembered that right

thanks guys, I just needed to convert the FAT32 drive to NTFS because I had to install win98 and then XP, so 98 made it a FAT drive.

So, I reinstalled XP pro and it sorted it all out.

It would have been helpful to mention you had a dual-boot system in your original post.
Glad you got it sorted.

patio.
