I have removed your HJT log. this is because we don`t accept copy and pasted HJT log here.

See HERE for instructions on how to post your HJT log as a .txt attachment.

Boot into safe mode. See how HERE. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how HERE. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial56.html

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial62.html

Run a full system scan and delete whatever it finds. It may well be that the infection is resident in one of your restore points. No antivirus programme can delete anything in a restore point. Turning off system restore will delete all your restore points and any infections that are in them.

Once you`ve done that, follow the instructions below.

Run HJT with no other programmes open. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

Post a fresh HJT log

Please tell us if your pc is now running faster.

EDIT: I almost forgot. Edit your post(s) and get rid of your hjt log. And get rid of McAfee and download AVG, ZoneAlarm and Firefox. McAfee is terrible.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Follow paranoid guy`s advice.

Then, go to addremove programmes in your control panel and uninstall anything you don`t need or use.

Then, click start/run and type msconfig into the run box and hit the enter key.

Click on the startup tab and disable anything you don`t want to start with Windows. Click apply/ok. You will be prompted to restart your computer.

Once your computer has rebooted, you will see a Windows that says you have used msconfig to make changes etc. Tick the little box that says not to run msconfig the next time you boot your system and click ok.

Download and run the Ccleaner programme from HERE.

Then, do a disk defrag.

See how your computer runs and let us know the results.

Regards Howard
