I just got this computer from a friend i have no idea what it is or anything about it. I took off the panels to paint and when i took off the front panel i unplugged everything i tryed to plug them back in everyway i can think of, but nothing has worked if you can help me thatd be awesome.

Does it power up at all (ie are there any power lights)
Is there any message on screen (ie cannot find HardDrive)

I would remove all connections internally again
Also you want to remove any plugged in PCI cards
Reconnect all internal connections
Confirm that all connectors are securely connected (this is probably the problem)
Push the power cord in securely
Turn back on

so far you've done everything 100% wrong
why stop now take it to geek squad :blackeye: a geek!! joke sorry
or stop for a moment and think
how about reading the manual for the motherboard you can get it online
I don't think you fried anything so after reading the manual
read the writing on the little black connectors
you should see stuff like
HDD led
HDD reset
Power and a few more
the board has very tiny print to match

good Luck
happy 2008

Actually the manual would be good as the first step
There are a number of specific fault diagnosis options for each computer
And it will familiarize you with the computer at the same time
