My jumpdrive seems to be fried please help

Hello to all of you reading this who i hope can tell me my USB jumpdrive is salvagable, well here's whats wrong with it: My computer recognizes it as a jumpdrive but when ever i try to open it it gives me the message "please insert a disk into drive F:" and when i try to format it via right click nothing happens i have also tried formating it via the MS-DOS Promt window (i am running windows XP) if you know any way to save it please tell me

The usb connector on the flash drive may be going out.

Common problem, not to much you can do.


Or it just maybe a driver conflict try a different usb port, and also try another computer.
