Hey everyone. I was hoping you all could help me. I just bought a New DVD burner (NEC ND-3520A) and I can't get it working. I installed it in the place of my old CD burner and when I start up, windows recognizes new hardware and gets the model number and all...but the new hardware icon remains in the taskbar and it never seems to install. It shows up in My Computer as simply CD Drive. I have no idea what's wrong.

 Hello & Welcome to TechSpot

Does the burner read cd-rom's, or is it not doing anything? (ie. if you put in a cd, can you access it?)

According to one quickstart guide from Nec, it could be caused by wrong jumper settings... So try checking that there's not 2 masters or slaves on the same channel (cable), or maybe see if using cables select will fix the problem...

Good Luck! And enjoy your stay here :)
