MyDVD Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm new to this message board. It's been bugging me for quite some time. I installed Sonic MyDVD 8 on my computer, and I was able to make and burn a DVD. However, I noticed that you could not see what button you were on when you played the DVD. This can be easily fixed by changing the button highlight color, correct? I looked in the help, and it tells me to click on the button and go to View > Effects. They're constantly greyed out, no matter what I do. Also, I checked for the most available update and updated it, so that shouldn't be a problem. Help!
