I'm doing this with winXP pro, using a mercury-pc ART18CX router with 2 machines connected to it.

I'm going to once more set up my XP for remote access using netmeeting, but this time around I have a router, and so obviously things are a little different.

Entering my ISP assigned IP brings me to the router, as opposed to my computer as it used to. What I need to know, is how to access my computer from the outside world for remote desktop use.

If this involves adding an entry to the route table, could somebody please describe what such an entry would be?

Never mind.

I decided to try using IIS for remote web desktop, but for one reason or another it's just not working, even with 127.0.0.1

I set up a virtual servers on the router for port 80 and another required port to forward them to my machine, but I can't even access my apache server :(, let alone a remote logon port.

/me sighs

nothing ever goes as planned.
