Need a .exe

Does anyone one have/know of a .exe that shuts off the computer?

there are several do a google search for closewin.exe or WINdie.exe or DHShutdown.

Windows XP has a feature that allows you to shutdown the pc, as well as restart and log off.

If you are a network administrator and you can remotely perform these actions on any pc, however you do need the Administrator password.


It is possible to get this to work in Win2K. You shall need to copy the file "shutdown.exe" from an XP machine and place it in your "C:\Windows\system32" folder on your windows 2000 machine.

I do not know how sucessful this would be on windows lower than 2000, try it out though.

The program can be run by typing "shutdown" in the run window from your startbar.
