Need advise on new HDD

Hello, i want to upgrade my computer with a new HDD i was wondering if all HDDs are compatible if not how would i be able to find out which ones are?

Correct. We need to know the motherboard so that we can determine if it supports EIDE or SATA or both.

Look at the "specs" of your mobe. This will inform you of what Hardisks are compatible. Then but the HDdrive that will work for you. If you read: this should be quite simple. Take a chance and use your judgement. You'll figure it out.

i would guess it supports ide if its quite an old computer
