Need help locating the source of BSODs.

Hello,
I am currently at wits end. I am having seemlessly random BSODS whos only common cause is changing of resolutions. I recently just build my computer from an asus p5e, ati radeon hd3870, an intel duo e6750, two seagate 250gb hard drives, and a stick of corsair xms2 1gb ram. I have reinstalled windows twice at this point. Originally i was getting this dump.

However when i downgraded from 8.1 drivers i preceded to get perfectly fine functionality in half life 2 and now instead get this dump in gametap which i just downloaded for free Psychonauts. I went to fullscreen and bam blue screen.

Followup: MachineOwner.

I have in fact already tested the ram with memtest86. I also stress tested the vram with the video ram stress tester. Both cleared. I tested the cpu with hot cpu and it passed fine as well. It just seems to randomly bsod in various programs when i shift resolution. Any theories would be appreciated as i would like to know whether to rma my hd3870.

Your first minidump pointed to the driver yk51x86.sys which part of the process NDIS5.1 Miniport Driver for Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Controller or NDIS5.1 Miniport Driver for Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Adapter or NDIS5.1 Miniport Driver for Marvell Yukon Ethernet Controller that belongs to the software Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Controller or Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Adapter or Marvell Yukon Ethernet Controller by Marvell.

The other three minidumps all said that the faulting driver could not be read.

However, in two of them the hl2.exe was noted and if you look at your first post this is found in the mix as well.

hl2.exe is an executible for Steam. You are the second person in as many days to come here with this process cited in their dumps.

Whether or not it is the culprit I can't say but if you google hl2.exe you'll see a lot on the 'net concerning this Steam driver.

Perhaps your ethernet adapter, etc. doesn't play well with kl2.exe and vice-versa.
