Need help to delete Popup "Your computer is infected"

  1. Hi, if anyone could help me with the following:

I recently ran into a bad site that gave me this virus. I think its call "winantivirus". It has installed this popup that i cannot get rid of.

I get a popup saying "Your computer is infected" with a Red "X". When i click on this popup it redirects me to a site "" and asks me to download a software, which i know is a fake.

I've downloaded Spydoctor as i did not have it before i got this virus to do a Spyware check. It listed a list of risks and i deleted them all.

Yet the popup is still there and i don't know how to get rid of it.

Besides the popup i am also getting a "Window Security Alert" and the alert says that my system is making Unauthorized copies of my system files. Please get a spyware sofware to help protect my computer. When i click ok, it takes me to again.

Can anyone help me to get rid of this virus. Its annoying and i have alot of work to finish on my laptop.

P.S i am using a Dell Inspirion 6400 laptop. 1.83gz. Intel centrino duo.
