Need help upgrading computer to play Neverwinter Nights 2

I'm using Dell Dimension 3000.
This is what I have:
- Intel(R) Pentirum(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
- 510MB RAM (2 x 250MB)
- PCI 3DFuzion GeForce FX 5500

They say:

* Memory: 512MB RAM

* Sound: DirectX® 9.0c compatible sound card or higher
* DirectX®: DirectX® 9.0c (included) or higher

Neverwinter Nights™ 2 Download Recommended System Requirements

* 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4® or AMD Athlon® equivalent
* 1.0 GB RAM
* ATI Radeon X800 or NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or higher.

What should I upgrade now, RAM or Video Card, or both? I don't need to play it perfectly, just running without lagging is enough.

I tried to run it, but it really horrible with my system (I put everything in minimum but still really bad).

Well increasing your RAM to 1GB would help things smooth out, but honestly with the PCI card you are not going to see a whole lot of improvement.

I dont like to suggest this often, I think it is said way to much, but if you are serious about playing new games, it may be time to totally upgrade your machine.

You are right, but only if I am serious about playing game though. I still have a lot of things else to do, may be when my kid grows up, I will buy new computers for both and play together.
