Need Help with Dell Latitude D505

Hello everyone I'm new here but I have a problem and need some help. I have a Dell latitude D505 when I turn it on I get a white screen that says:

This computer system, #3DQ3051-595B is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password.


Any thought? Thanks in advance.... :)

I am having the same problem. I have been finding it hard to find an open thread. I purchased my laptop from work. The company was sold 2 years ago. I have called Dell and since the original owners are no longer in business they will not help me.I'm ready to throw out the window. If any one can lend me some ideas that would be great. I will never play with the bios again!!!
