Need help with HD wont load

i have a 20gig ibm deskstar i put the jumpers into slave but when im in the settings menu i click auto search it wont find any HD what do i do? thx

you probably have an incorrect cable setup. please give more information about the computer and the cable setup.

You need to make sure it is going as slave on the ribbon, and not conflicting with something else on that ribbon. You could try Cable Select. Also try replacing the ribbon with a different one. Make sure you didn't bend any pins on the HDD when plugging in the ribbon. That's all I can think of right now.
