Need Help with intel 550tr switch ?

I installed router switch seem to have everything up
but can't fig out how to set port filters to stop back doors

Maybe read the manual?

All routers filter incoming traffic by default. Do you want to block outgoing ports?

this one is set to unfiltered by default
when i checked filter for a ip address there is no where to put the specific port
I want to block and or open
I will be reading the manual again ,but I got a feeling this switch/router has limits

Wait.. This is a layer 3 switch, not a real router!

It is not supposed to do packet filtering at all and it does not know about anything above the IP layer, including TCP or UDP ports.

And this is not a limitation of the device - it is just not meant for such work.

thats what I thought
original intent was for link aggregation my older switch did not do this
I find that it helps a little bit not what I thought
new to Vlans manual mentions routing Vlans IP address's
think I got it now,back to tweaking the server
