Need Help with non booting machine

so my friend's machine died. It is a Emachine T2482 with lots of upgrades. When i got it it wouldnt even respond to the power button so i replaced the psu. So it turns on now, but im getting no video. I've tried the intergrated one, which i dont think was working before i got it. I also tryed an AGP card and a PCI one non of them have worked. I also tryed reseting the bios. any ideas on what to do? is the motherboard dead? I hope not.

You say that you had to replace the PSU to get it running.

If the original PSU is fried, there is a risk that it migth have taken the motherboard and/or other parts of the computer with it to the grave.

If possible, test all the individual parts in another computer to determine whether it is infact the motherboard that's dead.

well i tested both the vid card and hdd in other machines and they seem to work. i guess my next question is anyone know of a good, and cheep, replacement motherboard?
