Here everyone I will do the simple math so everyone can be at ease with this covid vaccine nonsense, since someone here has nothing better to do but try to brainwash us all. These are the numbers that count.

World Pandemic as of 1/23/22
World 352.51 million cases – 5,616,227 deaths (1.59%)
US 71.93 million cases – 889,197 deaths (1.24%)

You tell me if these numbers are truly scary compared to worst things out there and things people actually die from daily. Thank you all that follow the fact and aren't controlled by the media or the far left like some on here are.

Have a great day!
These deaths aren't "instead" of the other stuff we die from daily... this is IN ADDITION to them!

If you have a vaccine for heart disease and cancer, I'd take that too...

Oh, and trparky - I didn't bother to reply to you because you have 0 evidence for your lies other than "I know a guy"... please submit some evidence and I'd be happy to tear it to shreds :)

I have talked to real people in the real world and that includes people from all walks of life since I work in retail. I see hundreds if not thousands of people a week and yes, I've heard it all. I even have family members who've been "vaccinated" and they still got this crap.

I've been working on the front lines of this crap from the very beginning so take your crap and shove it man. Your shilling doesn't work on me.

I got my shot and wear my mask.

if you want to listen to the guy who hosted fear factor then whatever, do you.

at this point I've given up on uttering any advice to anyone about covid and if they kick the bucket then so be it.

on a good note, with these mask I dont have to shave, and this beard life is pretty sweet.

Lol...his music isn't worth nearly as much as Joes show right now.

Honestly there is so much confusion over facts between covid and the vaccine that it's almost impossible to know what exactly is true.

Real world evidence trumps anything that I read and hear about in the so-called "news".

I'll take what I hear from real people over those talking heads on the "news" any day of the week and I don't care what news station you listen to be it CNN, MSNBC, and yes... even Fox News. They're all lying to you.

To be fair, it's not that simple when people are losing their lives.
Correct, because some people are losing their lives after getting infected by a vaccinated person.

As we have all learned, getting vaccinated is not a silver bullet. Yes, I am vaccinated and had a booster, but I am not here to tell everyone else what to do. And neither should Mr. Young. The current vaccines are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination and even if everyone were vaccinated, people would still die.

I mean, if we're looking to tell people what to do, Hey Mr. Young, get a freaking haircut and shave your face!

Well, thank god you're using a scientific method to make your claims. I was worried you were just free-balling the facts. Good to know you've got your finger on the pulse of the nation's health.

Except it IS... because ME being vaccinated is irrelevant unless the vast % of others are AS WELL. That's how they work...
That kind of doesn't make sense. It's like saying, just because I have a fence around my yard, it won't work unless everyone else has a fence.

Now, don't take that to mean I'm anti-vax. I'm not. I'm fully vaxxed with booster and I encourage people to get the shot. But, you can only do what's right for you, and I'll do what's right for me.

I believe if you get vaxxed, wear a mask (N/K95) in public situations and social distance then you'll be fine. As someone who is vaxxed, you likely will have a mild case should you get infected. My wife was boosted about 3 weeks ago and still got a very mild case. Tested positive and was clear in 5 days.

<...> and yes I work in healthcare daily.
Right. Got it. Your subjective observations amount to scientific evidence. And your we got unmasked people gathering in large crowds everywhere means there is no danger. Right. Logical fallacy, bro.

Just in case you are unable to get down to it

On average, the rate of death during Wave 1 increased by a factor of just over 40% (x1.4) for the study population compared to before the pandemic. Surprisingly, this relative increase in the rate of death was largely consistent across the population, regardless of people's health conditions and other characteristics.

However, the researchers stress that people with pre-existing health conditions such as heart disease or asthma had a higher mortality rate than people without these conditions before the pandemic, so multiplying their mortality rate by a further 40% had a bigger absolute impact on them, compared with healthy individuals.

People just want to be right so they have someone to condescend to. The ones screaming the loudest about how it's about saving lives and keeping people safe, don't actually care about others and have the lowest capacity for love. They exhibit their capacity for hate and intolerance by condemning anyone who disagrees with them and use heavily manipulated data as a crutch to throw stones at those they view as their enemies.

This vaccine doesnt prevent infection. How do people not now this by now?

And? You get corona, depending on the variant, you either get cold symptoms, or you get some random auto immune issues, organ failure, or even death.
The vaccine is not there to prevent you getting it. You can lick an infected person for 24 hours and not get it, you can be in a room for 15 minutes with Doris and boom you're infected.
But the vaccine is there in an attempt to stop the symptoms being severe, like death.
No government cares about its people unless the cost of hospitalisation or w.e exceeds their tax intake. They need their monies. And people are required to keep taxes flowing.

You're whole comment is mental. You're kind of screaming loud there that, its all fake AF and its all BS. You're just an anti vaxxer?
Hey I want humans to croak I do. I love the idea China culling its old people back fired into a global mess. And the vaccines are well under tested, but I've had it, hardly any symptoms and I believe I'd have been worse without.
Saying that I've also heard its white blood cell based on who suffers more.
But with so many variants and how fast its evolving who actually knows where this will land/stop.

Really? Then why when I talk to real people in real life, they tell me that they've gotten COVID after being not only vaccinated but boosted as well and their time with COVID was just as absolutely miserable as it was for anyone else?

And then let's cite the Cornell University situation where 75% of an entire student dorm building all came down with COVID even though they pretty much mandated the "vaccine" and 100% of the students had it.

As far as I'm concerned, this so-called "vaccine" does not work.

It does not prevent it, see above, it reduces symptoms. You can affect multiple organs.
You can die, you can be paralyzed, have long term health issues. The vaccine is attempting to stop symptoms being as severe.
But governments care more about money and their economies (tax) than human lives until the lives lost, means tax income starts to look scary and the long term is crippling debt.

Understand that if your government is comparing this outbreak to the flu or a cold, they are *****s. Colds and flu don't as far as I know cause the long term multi organ failure that this crap can.
They ain't going to like it if tax money is going to be wasted on disability allowance, they will wish you had of died instead.
Its up to you if you VAX or don't. I don't care.
I hope more people croak cause this overpopulation is being corrected by nature as far as I'm concerned.
Nihilism ftw.

World Pandemic as of 1/23/22

US 71.93 million cases – 889,197 deaths (1.24%)
Not commenting on whether or not something is scary, or comment specifically on the efficacy of the Covid vaccinations, but maybe some perspective on the data since they include percentages?

The US accounts for about 4.25% of the total world population(334,074,100 ish vs 7,922,737,000), but accounts for 17-20% of the cases against total population, and 14-16% of the deaths (both depending on whether the world data provided includes the US numbers or not, smaller percentages if yes). Notwithstanding the potential of over and under reporting of course. I don't think this has much of an affect on the argu---ehrm discussion at hand but I feel like the data is being potentially misrepresented.

Yeah, we should do away with governments altogether, because total anarchy is a much better system of "control".

And here's some "data" nobody seems to be taking into account. It's more than likely, the hospital bills for these "long haul" infections will never be paid. How much so you think a couple of months on a ventilator in an ICU would cost? Considering that merely having a baby costs tens of thousands of dollars these days. So, either hospitals will go bankrupt from this 'pandemic', or your next visit to a GP, night be worth maybe a thousand dollars. (or so).

LOL You're truly a hater. How was it mental and what about my comment was supposedly anti-vax? I said nothing about vaccines, mandates, protocols or anything even close. I am vaccinated and willingly wear a mask even in situations where there are no requirements to do so. You sound butt hurt and clearly have limited reading comprehension based on your reaction to my post. You also outted yourself as exactly the kind of person my post was about.

No, the ones screaming the loudest, are the a**holes gathering in mass protests b!tching about how merely suggesting that they wear a mask is, "violating their freedoms".

Way to alienate half your fan base. I don't care which side of the vaccination aisle your on, why do they care so much which side everyone else is on. it's really nobodies business.
Because the anti-vax, anti-mask *******s are killing people by spreading disease in the middle of a pandemic. The ones that do it on the basis of rights are *******s that clearly indicate they care about nobody but themselves. The ones that make up and and spread anti-science nonsense and gibberish about vaccines, masks, and Covid itself, instead of just admitting they don't want to protect themselves and others, this is truly dangerous.

Kudos to Neil Young for taking a stand.

Car insurance doesn't stop you from crashing your car, why do you still pay for it?
To protect my car from others and those who don't have insurance. Therefore, if you want to protect yourself get vaccinated, if you don't want to. DONT...no one forces people to own car insurance. The same should be with the vaccine.

Great example in siding with having your own choice and option to pick.

Except... it is illegal to drive a car without insurance... and your insurance pays for the other car you smash into... so yes... it actually is a good comparison :)

Pandemics aren't a case of human rights... you getting sick affects ME... when you take up a hospital bed that I might need... that's a problem... GET VACCINATED!

No, there are people on both sides of the argument, both sides of the aisle and both sides of the class paradigm screaming loud and stirring the pot. Your reaction, like that of the other poster who quoted me, merely shows how polarized you are. I on the other hand, am not and have not picked a side because my stance is simply that I do what I want because I can. Whether or not anyone agrees with things I choose to say, do and believe has no bearing on my heading because, as an American, I am free. Still.
