Looks like you are trying to burn copyrightrd material which is against the law.

lite on dvdrw sohw 1633s, firmware bgs4

Upon investigating this lovely burner, I have found from a website the following: the write support is 48xcdr, 24xcdrw, 8xdvd-r, 4xdvd-rw, 16xdvd+r, 4xdvd+rw, and 2.4xdvd+rdl. I bought this drive with a gateway. I have used verbatim digital movie 8x dvd-r and have had no problems burning or play back, it totally refuses ANY 16x-R. It says that it is an invalid disc. It does work with the 16x dvd+r. However, you need to burn at a low speed of 4x if you want any of the movies to play in old (over 5 years) dvd players. Hope this helps any of you.

I spoke to a friend earlier on that has burned many dvd's. He said exactly the same thing that burning at x4 works.

Still have to be careful about not burning copyrighted material tho.

very bad subject going on be very aware not to discuss
try firmware upgrade use a better disc that does not mean it has to cost more
ps: nero is the worst blotted software out there for burning

I am using better discs, firmware I am not sure how to do cross flash, nor do I know what it means, I do use nero, so far I haven't had any problems. I had on my old computer Adaptec, that one was a little more user friendly than nero.
