netgear DG834GT & bitcomet help....

hi, i have recently started using the netgear dg834gt wireless router. have had trouble using bitcomet, it was continuously disconnecting, i tried the port forwarding ( http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netgear/DG834GT/BitComet.htm )
now bitcomet stays connected but the downloads are really slow. any suggestions on what i could have done wrong?

Don't use a wireless router with BT, I've tested Belkin, and some others you need a wired router if you want to do the BT way.

no you miss understand that's just a phase, bit torrent, bit comet they all do the same thing download...

ok i thought u meant bittorrent as in the program??? maybe you are lol.... and by the way I have tried wiring the laptop up but still the same effect!!
