Network backup

We have a company that has 35 WinPro users (including laptops)situated in two offices, linked by a fibre optic link. The network is a workgroup based. I want to setup a strategy to backup up critical data on a scheduled basis ie e-mails & My Documents. My problem is that I do not want to start sharing documents over the network for security reasons and also to overload the network.
I know that you can use MS-Backup over the network, but that would entail sharing documents. The size of the data could be 30Gb or more
Does anyone have any recommendations for the most efficient method to achieve this.

You could schedule the backup to copy documents into a shared folder on your backup server. You could even have a separate shared folder for each client machine on the server.

And of course you could set up some backup server software.
